• chair size — the larger the footprint of your swivel chair, the larger the protective mat should be. Ideally, it should extend several to several dozen centimeters beyond the seat area to allow room for chair movement;
• material — options include polycarbonate, polypropylene, silicone, and PVC. In our view, PVC is particularly versatile: it helps prevent scratches, can protect against moisture, and dampens caster noise. That is why we use it in our products;
• shape — besides protecting the floor, the mat should also fit the look of your setup. ENDORFY offers three shapes: round (Floor Pad 110C), square (Floor Pad 90S), and rectangular (Floor Pad 120R).

• Do you need a protective mat under a swivel chair?

We often hear that rubber and nylon casters on a swivel chair (the latter can be found, for example, on ENDORFY models) provide enough protection against floor scratches. This durable, relatively soft material is friendly to most surfaces it rolls across. If you have wooden parquet at home, however, it is worth choosing a good protective mat. This additional layer not only helps prevent scratches but also protects the surface from moisture. In a PVC version, it also does a reasonable job of dampening the sound of casters moving across the floor.

• How do you choose the right protective mat size?
