The new Viro headsets have been with us for two weeks, and several editorial teams in Poland and abroad have already put them to the test. The result? A 9.5/10 rating from Kacper Senderak at ITHardware, Recommended from Club386, Editor’s Choice from eTeknix, Producto Recomendado from Geeknetic, and the Excellent Award and Great Value Award from TechnologyInsider. The badges and awards look good in a graphic, but the reviews reveal something more interesting: exactly why they were given.

A strong start in the first reviews

ITHardware called the wireless headphones Viro Wireless “an absolute bombshell from the Polish brand” and gave them 9.5/10. In its verdict, it praised the build quality, battery life, microphone and overall value for money.

Samuel Willetts at Club386, meanwhile, gave them a Recommended badge, noting that this was the first ENDORFY headset he had tested. Viro Wireless proved a “pleasant surprise” to him, with build quality and the microphone among the positives he listed.

Then came Editor’s Choice from eTeknix, Producto Recomendado from Geeknetic and the Excellent Award from TechnologyInsider. Antonio Delgado at Geeknetic particularly appreciated the excellent battery life and wide range of connectivity options of Viro Wireless. He also listed their value for money and stereo sound quality among their greatest strengths.

Viro Infra Wireless received the Great Value Award, reflecting what other reviewers had also noted: the headsets offer excellent quality and features for the price. In Poland, ITHardware rated Viro Infra Wireless 8/10. Comfort and low weight stood out particularly strongly in that review.

It is already clear, then, that the two models earn praise for different reasons.

Battery life you need not keep an eye on

The battery life of Viro Wireless was one of the specifications that stood out from the start. PurePC tested it in practice using a 2.4 GHz connection at half volume.

Tomasz Duda, who tested the headset, rated its battery life very highly. He also stressed that exceeding 100 hours in 2.4 GHz mode is entirely realistic at more moderate listening levels. Geeknetic added its own test: after six days of using Viro Wireless for about three hours a day in 2.4 GHz mode, the battery level had fallen by just 15%. A three-hour Bluetooth test used only 1%.

The Club386 reviewer took a less laboratory-minded approach. After around 60 hours of using Viro Wireless, mainly in 2.4 GHz mode, he reported that the indicator still showed more than half a charge.

The stated “up to 240 hours over Bluetooth” sounds impressive, but the tests show what it means in everyday use. Viro Wireless are simply hard to drain quickly.

Wireless use without the hassle

Another recurring theme in the reviews was using one headset with different devices. We will not reproduce a table of connection types here, because what matters more is whether the whole setup is convenient beyond the raw specifications.

ITHardware tested a simultaneous 2.4 GHz connection to a computer and Bluetooth connection to a phone. You can therefore play on a PC and take a call on your smartphone when needed without switching headsets. Club386 used both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth during testing and reported no connection stability problems.

That means one headset can stay with you throughout the day, for gaming, work and phone calls, without having to keep setting it down on the desk.

Some liked the sound straight away; others reached for the EQ

Here, the reviews do not arrive at a single unanimous verdict.

Kacper Senderak at ITHardware liked the factory tuning of Viro Wireless, describing it as warm and entertaining, with prominent bass. Club386 heard something similar, noting a slightly emphasised low end and an enjoyable character both in games and when listening to music.

PurePC had a different view. At the default setting, the reviewer found the headphones too dark and too heavily weighted towards bass. Viro Studio software changed that, however. After EQ adjustment, his assessment of the sound improved markedly, and the ability to fine-tune it ultimately made his list of advantages.

“The effect is so clear and positive that it is hard to believe these are still the same headphones.”
— Tomasz Duda, PurePC

That difference of opinion is useful. It shows that the factory tuning can suit one person and need adjustment for another. With Viro Wireless, you can change the sound character quite substantially instead of being stuck with one setting that may or may not match your preferences.

Hearing clearly and being heard clearly

The microphone can easily get lost among the technical details about the battery, drivers and connection modes. Yet it came up regularly in reviews of Viro Wireless.

ITHardware praised the natural sound of the voice and the reduction of background noise. PurePC also considered the recording quality good and commended the usefulness of ENC, recommending that it stay on at all times. The Club386 reviewer put the microphone directly on his list of the headset’s biggest strengths.

This is one of the more consistent findings in the early reviews. Reviewers differed on the sound of the headphones, but the microphone received consistently positive feedback.

Viro Infra Wireless find their own place

With the more expensive model, it is easy to focus entirely on battery life and extra features. Reviewers assessed Viro Infra Wireless by somewhat different criteria, however, so they will appeal to a slightly different group than the “flagship” Viro Wireless.

In his review of the Infra model, Kacper Senderak paid particular attention to its low weight of 280 g and comfort over longer sessions. The fabric ear pads and lighter construction were a much more important part of that review than extensive configuration options.

TechnologyInsider reached a similar conclusion from a value perspective. The Infra version received a Great Value Award for what it offers as a whole at a price of PLN 249. eTeknix also highlighted its low weight and the freedom to use the headset with different devices.

“Viro Infra Wireless is an exceptionally complete headset at a very good price.”
— Frank Everaardt, TechnologyInsider

As a result, the reviews do not present Viro Infra Wireless as a “cut-down bigger brother”. They are lighter, simpler and cheaper, and you can feel their strongest advantages (quite literally!) as soon as you put them on.

Praise, along with a few minor reservations

Club386 noted the fairly strong clamping force of Viro Wireless, particularly noticeable when wearing glasses. The reviewer also observed that the USB receiver could block an adjacent port on some devices. Frank Everaardt at TechnologyInsider made a similar point about the dongle.

For Viro Infra Wireless, ITHardware pointed out, among other things, the way volume is controlled and the shorter battery life over a 2.4 GHz connection.

None of these points changed the ultimately positive assessments of both headsets. They do show where reviewers saw specific compromises and what to consider before choosing a model.

After two weeks, the differences are already clear

Following the first reviews, the difference between the two Viro wireless headset models is much easier to grasp than from their specifications alone.

ENDORFY Viro Wireless most often drew praise for their very long battery life, broad range of features and microphone. Reviewers also appreciated the build quality, and some were simply surprised by how much they offered at the price.

“There are few things I would want to improve about Viro Wireless.”
— Samuel Willetts, Club386

ENDORFY Viro Infra Wireless made a somewhat different impression. Their low weight, comfort and well-chosen feature set at a lower price come through more strongly here.

Five awards and high scores make for a very good start. But for someone choosing a headset, something else is more useful: several independent reviews that already give a fairly clear picture of whom each model suits best.
